The book jacket of For Relief of Unbearable Urges tells us that Englander is living in Jerusalem, and, indeed, the last story in that book takes place there, in the aftermath of a terrorist bombing. Perhaps his next book will examine the lives of Israelis, maybe American expatriates living there, maybe sabras, maybe both. It's been over five years since his first (and last) collection, and his readership is awaiting more. We wonder, where and how is he, and is he at work writing more stories?
