abbybookworm22 posts on 12/3/2008 9:06:58 PM I just recently sterted the book and I am looking for (it pains me to say it) spoilers. I am only on page 100 and it is due by christmas break. I feel terrible for asking but im desperate. Could someone please explain the plot for me??
Kathie posts on 6/24/2007 8:35:18 PM OK. How can I say this without sounding mean? The movie is awful, Kity is played by an actress who seems to be made of wood but at least stars a nice-looking Paul Newman. read the book first. The book has details abot nazi atrocities and russian pogroms that explain the attitudes of the people who established the state of israel.

posts on 5/20/2006 8:10:25 PM Patrick, Leon Uris is simply one of the best and brightest writers of all times. I just finished Armageddon and it was great. Exodus is my favorite by far, but equally compelling are Trinity and Redemption (both related to a family in Ireland). Try Trinity, you won't regret it.
george k posts on 9/3/2005 9:19:04 PM I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Uris at his home on Shelter Island,NY several years ago. I have been a fan of his books for years, Exodus being my favorite. The ability he has to put deep emotions into words we can all understand is very rare. The short time I had to speak with him clearly showed me that this was an ability he had in his spoken, as well as written, language. His works are not for everyone but there can be few, if any, people that can not agree that his gift of language is one of a kind.
Kathie posts on 8/29/2005 12:45:42 PM As far as I know, all of the characters in the main plot of the book are fictional. I'm guessing Mark Parker is based on Leon Uris himself; he was also a reporter. THere are numerous referecnces to real people and you can do a Google search to see whether they are real. For example, in Uris' passages about the Nazis, he references certain well-known war criminals. But Mark, Ari, David, Kitty Fremont, Dov are fictional.
Lauren posts on 8/28/2005 6:03:54 PM I'm a new freshman at a new school, and I got an assignment to research this book, (after having read it all summer) and see whether or not the characters are fictitious. I have been searching for HOURS, and still it seems that I haven't come up with much of anything. Please help me! Thank you.
Kathie posts on 8/17/2005 7:00:08 PM I also have recently read this book. What's on your mind?
Chris posts on 8/16/2005 5:39:46 PM I recently read the book Exodus by Leon Uris and was wondering if anyone was willing to discuss the book with me: the plot, ending, characters.
