I have been a fan of Robbie Williams only since the 'Swing...' album and greatly respect his songwriting abilities and fantastic voice. Not every artist has two talents linked like that and I thank Robbie for sharing himself so deeply with the world to make a connection with his audience.
I read 'Feel' earlier this year (after trying for months to buy a copy, always 'sold out') and it helped me to further understand RW crazy lifestyle.
I was able to come down to a more realistic view of any infatuation I may have had of Robbie as Chris Heath's descriptions put me in a more empathetic frame of mind- what a relief.
I think many people that have read 'Feel' can now look even more respectfully (or they should) at musical artists and what they have to put themselves through to make their music.
Thank you both Robbie and Chris for allowing us into the music arena, the book was a great learning environment that gave us such a better perspective, well done!

You are a brave man and one with an amazing amount of patience. I just finished reading Feel (a friend in Australia who has seen Mr. Williams in concert suggested I read it before listening to his music). Brave may have come across the wrong way, I mean it in a positive sense to both the writer and the subject. Patience, well that goes with being around the subject. As the back of the dust jacket reads "The truth is in there somewhere." It's an interesting journey in finding it. ~K~

That's why I'm reading it again!
The insight Chris gives us into the lifestyle of a modern day celebrity helps Robbie reach those fans who are not aware of the consequences, not only of their actions, but that of the media, as well.
We live in a media age, one that is out of control. Books like Chris's help to put the fiction that is fed to us into some sort of perpective.
I'd love to read some more (articles/books) along the same lines or from the same perspective as 'Feel'. I'm considering researching/writing more on this topic. Can anyone recommend anything?

I wanted to let you know that i am currently reading your Biography of Robbie Williams and I am completely mesmerised by it.Firstly i cant believe i havent read it earlier and i think that you have captured him in a way that is so significant and intriguing.I imagine that Robbie Williams is an intelligent, fascinating and incredible person and i think you have managed to capture him in this way,allowing people like me to read this book and try and understand him and his complex life. From your book he appears to be an extraordinary person,that you cant help wanting to know more about.Your book is one in which you cant put down, but dont want to finish either and i truely think that is a sign of a brilliant writer!

Just wanted to let you know that 'Feel' was amazing. Nothing has captured me like this in a long time - such a captivating read and such an amazing insight to what so many aspire to but have no idea of the reality!!

Apart from Bob Dylan who happens to be a genius this is the best andmost perceptive rock biography I have ever read in the 4O years I have been in the music business. Well done Chris.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through the Feel book. From the perspective of a writing student, it is a wonderful insight into pop culture and all the trappings; very well written and informative. You've done a brilliant job of capturing the essence of a young man drowning (or barely staying afloat) in the sewer of celebrity. He has highlighted the idioticies (my word) of the paparazzi and other medias, and, by doing so, has done many celebrities - who face the same challenges as Rob - a huge favour.
It's one of the best (modern) books I've read for ages (as a writing student I read a lot!). Very inspirational. Thanks.
