I've never read any book by Virginia Woolf, and now that I've decided to, I could use some help in choosing the book, because I'm not really sure which one I should pick. In fact, I've already looked into some brief reviews, and I thought that perhaps "The Waves" would be a good start. Would you be so kind and give me your view on the matter, please?

What emotions did the author awaken the reader? Explain the author attitude toward the world, fellows and life?
