I suspect this forum is now defunct - a great pity if so, there seems to eb nothing much around about MR. I have read Sweetman's biography of her of course and may read Zillborgs, though I am not so much interested in her personal life as the content of her wonderful Greek-themed novels

Are you being serious lili?
'The Nature of Alexander' is a study of Alexanders personality. Her three novels, 'Fire From Heaven', 'The Persian Boy' and 'Funeral Games' are just that - novels. I am sure you would enjoy them immensely but they are extremely well researched and written works of fiction.

Hi ! I'm a fan of Alexander the Great . In fact , I discovered him through old writings . I just want to know if the book of Mary Renault is a real biography , or simply a fiction ? I read Nearcus , Aristobule , Plutarque , ... and I don't know how good this book is in comparison to these ones .
