I just bought Veil of Night and it should be titled 200+ pages of boring wedding details. No plot...no contact between main characters except in 1st chpt when they jump in bed. I'm on pg 250 and wondering if these two characters will yet say more than 10 words to each other. THIS BOOK IS A RIP-OFF

LH is the premiere, numero uno fiction writer. My favorite author. I loved "After the Night" - "Almost Forever" I'm always on the lookout for her latest book.

I am a huge fan of Linda Howard. I would love to see a follow up on "To Die For" and "drop Dead Gorgeus" books. These 2 books took care of Blair. I would love a book featuring Siana Mallory. A gorgeus Lawyer with attitude would make a great main charater for a book. Is there any plans in the future for a possible book?

I read Up Close and Dangerous a while ago, but I don't recall there being a large body count. I agree with others that it was not her best book, although it was decent. When people ask me for some of her books, the first two I mention are Mr. Perfect and Open Season. Happy reading everyone.

In the book list on the home page, the title "Blackout" actually should be "Overload". On the book jacket review, the word BLACKOUT comes first, and many lists use this word as the title, in error.

How many Mackenzie books have Linda written? I have read MacKenzie's Mountain,Pleasure, Mission, Magic and Game of Chance. Is there a book when Chance first came in the MacKenzie family or any other books I miised? Thanks for your help.

Yes, Letha, few writers do it as well as Linda Howard!

Sorry, guys--I thought the last 2 were excellent--including the "Up Close and Dangerous"--it seems a logical progression to me that an excellent writer would change and grow in her approach; you also need to remember that a lot of men now buy Linda Howard's books--they love to see the "how" outlined in a story; and no one does it better than LH.

Up Close was such an easy book to forget. The ending was not very well written and I found the romance after meeting over a few days too far fetched. It was a good survival book however.
