Hi! I am probably younger than most of you (I'm still in middle school) and I happen to have an unnatural obssesion with Renaissance history in general. I have finished your new work on Isabella and thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially your scholarship and viewpoints -- Edward II actually escaped and was not murdered or molested by his murders (propaganda); sympathy for Isabella under the circumstances of medieval expectations for a women's role in general; and the general Anglo-French politics of the times.
However, I would like to know more about her family's involvement in her "Diplomatic Exile and Peace Visit" to France and her brother's role in her meeting Mortimer and the invasion of England to topple her husband Edward II and his favorite(s)? Was this meeting and sexual liasion with Mortimer and financial support for the invasion really a ploy of the French Monarch to influence the direction of England or sympathy of a brother for a sister? And the feedback from your fellow English historians on your findings and viewpoint included in this book.
Your opinions and answers would be interest and appreciated. Also do you have an email address to share with your readers?

Dear Alison,
I read one book of yours (Eleanor of Aquitaine) and am working on the second (The life of Elizabeth I). I find your writing both easy to read and very intriguing (huge fan). I was wondering if you had ever considered doing a book on Katherine the Great, Ruler of Russia? I was thinking that if I were to ever read a full complete history book about her, I would want it to be a book that is done by you. It seems as though you write so well about women who have acquired such power in life. Keep up the great work and I look forward to enjoying your next book, whichever one it is that I decide to read. Thank you so much for the reading enjoyment!
