Alice Borchardt Message Board

Guinivere posts on 6/7/2012 2:54:08 PM Did Borchardt at least come close to finishing the Winter King? because even if its just an outline or grouping of notes, I would like to read it so I could have some conclusion. Since I read the first two I refuse to read any other series about King Arthur. I want to see how it ends!
alecia posts on 12/14/2011 4:03:21 AM i love the tales of guinievere series does anyone know if anyone ever stepped up to complete the third installment or if we are all going to be left hanging forever more?
Samis posts on 5/17/2011 9:26:34 PM Did the Winter King ever get sent to a publisher? I cant find anything in the book stores for the last book in the Tales of Guinevere trilogy.

Tui posts on 11/27/2008 10:20:11 PM It really is lame that she passed away and her fans didn't even know. Like alot of you I've been waiting for the third book and only found out she died because I finally decided to try and find the book online. This does bring up an interesting question though, if someone else was to complete the book does it detract from the book because Alice didn't write it? Is is cheating? Or as readers do we not care, as long as there is closure to the series? I don't think I care. I just want to know more about the story.
issy posts on 2/15/2008 3:57:42 PM i feel like killing myself i dont know how i will be able to go on without that third book. She was a truly amazing writer

C N H posts on 7/30/2007 2:08:46 PM I was very close to Alice and her passing is a devasation, but after a 5 1/2 year battle against cancer, it is also a blessed release for her as well. She was a superb writer, a gourmand of life and a very good and dear friend. I know she worked on the final book but at the time of her passing it was incomplete.
Summer posts on 7/30/2007 1:12:43 PM I tried to reply to my own post after my previous one, but for some reason kept getting errored. I realized that I needed to take my own foot out of my mouth because shortly after my post, I did indeed find something on the internet about her death. I guess I just didn't want to believe it. This is sad to hear indeed. I'll go mourn in a corner now while reading her books all over again.
Vikki posts on 7/30/2007 8:41:20 AM Unfortunatly Alice has past away. I heard this rumour and emailed her sister who has confirmed the sad news. Please read the reply below from Anne. "Yes, it is true. Alice died peacefully on the night of July 24th in her own home, surrounded by her husband and her sisters, and friends. --- I am asking my assistant to fax on your kind letter to her husband. Thank you so much for writing. Anne Rice." Hopefully the story will be finished by someone who understood her work.
