I have just finished reading 'One Shenadoah Winter' and was very affected by the story. I would like to know how you are able to write so intimately of an area (I suppose) you are unfamiliar with as you live in another country. I am going to look for more of your work. Thank you

Have enjoyed your first two books in the Heirs of Arcadia series and look forward to the third this month. I noticed that Lillian sang Crown Him With Many Crowns in the 1820's. The author of verses 1 and 4 which were quoted wrote them in 1852. Matthew Bridges was born in 1800, and George Elvey in 1816. Lilliam implies that she was very fond of this hymn when she was a girl.
