Read TOURIST IN THE YUCATAN and am still waiting for the sequel. Any new news?

Dear Mr. Brumfield, I've just finished reading "Across the High Lonesome". I found the book hard to put down and greatly admire your story telling talent. I have a complaint that has nothing to do with you writing. Whoever is responsible for the back binding of the book did a very poor job of it. As I turned the pages, beginning with page 257, the pages simply fell apart. I had loose pages to contend with till the end of the story. I am a careful person with my books and this company who did the binding should be told exactly what I think of them: shoddy work! Thank you for a wonderful story. Sincerely, Kay Zelko, a reader

Dear James-just a note to let you know how much I enyoyed your book 'Tourist in the Yucatan'. I have spent a lot of time on the roads you described-great job. I just returned from Tulum and after reading your book, I god a little nervous on the old 'Coba Road'. Hope to read more from you-thanks-Michael

Hi Jim, just found this site, as you know I loved the book, and cant wait for your next one, whilst reading it I felt transported back to Mexico, and totally lost myself in your story, oh to be able to write like that and capture the feel of the events unfolding, I was left wanting more, thanks for the ride.

I have only read a few chapters but I really like the book. Sorry to see Mr. Potter executed :>( The short bio at Tres Picos was interesting as I am originally from Oregon and have done similar things (backpacking, hunting, etc.). The quality of your writing is good and that alone will propel your success. Good Luck and I look forward to "Across the High Lonesome".

Hi Margarett, and other interested parties, First let me thank you for your interest in my writing. It is always nice to know you are entertaining someone. The bad news is the sequel to "Tourist" will most likely not be released until sometime in 2007. The good news is my next novel "Across the High Lonesome" will be realeased in early 2006. The sales for "Tourist" remain steady, but I am not quite at the point where I can quit my day job yet (hopefully soon so I can put all my efforts into my writing!). To all interested please send your email address to IRONYANDWIT at HOTMAIL dot COM. I will be glad to keep you informed of future releases and special offers to purchase advance copies. I also love to hear from readers, so don't be afraid to drop me a note. Your friend, Jim Brumfield
