I have a first addition of Charls Dickens Sketches by Boz, published by Chapman & Hall. London. It is in excellent condition with green plane hard cover signed by Charles Dickens.... Is it of any value? and what year was it published? Thank You. Jim.

I want to know the justification for Miss Havisham's attitude towards men in the novel. Is she really right for raising Estella to be a hater of men?

"I saw no shadow of another parting from her". Very intriguing. Could it be that he may be suggesting that now, finally he would be with her forever-- he could not sense another time he'd be asked to part from her? Or that she'd willingly part from him?

How may days had Marley been dead when he first visited Scrooge? Assuming one leap year, count both X-mas eves, death and visitation.
