Having almost finished reading your 3rd book-'A Man called Dave'-(I've read the trilogy-From a boy called 'IT'-to the current book)-all I can say to you Dave is your not only inspirational; but your books-(specifically the one I'm reading now,) is 'helpful'-its making me question things Id never even thought of before--I knew about the 'Link', the 'chain-but Your book's helping me to understand MY emotions/feelings too.

dear dave,
my brother is dead at age 45 from the trama in his life.....soon, I will prob follow, as my husb is abusing me, but dave, it is years and years, over 3 decades, give it a rest....I was abused also my my lovely parents, whom is dead, and I am very very glad, but I do not talk about it. Give it a rest dave,

I read your books a few years ago when they first came out. I found them gut wrenching. I have recently re-read them, and find myself reacting just as strongly as the first time. You have achieved so much from such an awful beginning.

If the events depicted in the first book were accurate then Dave pelzer would be dead. It is quite obviously embellished for the purposes of making money.
Bleach plus ammonia = hydrochloric acid which produces lethal chloramine fumes, a small hole in the wall would not save you.
Many people have died in more ventilated areas by accidenly mixing the two.
Drinking ammonia would put you in hospital or kill you.
Mostly fiction, badly written to a formula guaranteed to make money from certain types of people. Misery voyeurs.

Dave i want to thank u i was physically and sexually abused from age 8-13 when i was 13 i read your book "a child called it" and i told somebody. I was put into foster care and later adopted at age 15 by the sweetest lady i know. So i just wanted to thank you for changeing my life. I used to write to let out the pain and have just gotten my first work published i am now 22 and a single mom of 2 and i swear i will give my children the best life possible! Thank you.

I read your books and God they were so touching. i cryed alot while reading them. I have a million and one questions your case was So interesting to me. Your like a role modle to me, you've been through so much and it inspierd me to become a foster parent when im old enough to. Hope the rest of your days are the best!

Dear David-I have a 15 year old daughter that I love better than my own life.She has read your first book and has been reading it to me. I am so tender hearted I cannot read it yet for myself. i finished your book and must say i have never been so moved your courage as a young boy is remarkable and yes you had courage or you would never have made it and i wish you nothing but the best for your life please give your son an extra hug for me you will allways be in my thoughts cindy

I just want to ask you that,, after so much of struggle,, unbearable mind issues,, endless sleepless nites,, being beaten up by people,, and LIFE ,, WAS IT WORTH TO BE ALIVE FOR REST OD UR LIFE ????
