Mary, if you go on the internet into Maeve Binchy's website it shows the list of her books in order, just go down each of the three rows. Enjoy her books, they are great reads.

Hi Everyone, I have read a lot of Maeve Binchy's books and they are great. I love the way she describes her characters in her books. I also enjoy Rosamunde Pilcher for that same reason, and also Susanna Kearsley. I don't think you can wrong with any of these authors. Great Summer reads, Enjoy

Hello everbody,
I recently finished reading "Light a Penny Candle" by Maeve Binchy. Though I usually love her books and the beginning of "Light a Peenny Candle" was lovely, too, I was really confused about the ending!!! Elizabeth did kill Henry, didn't she? So, it was an accident and Henry freaked out. But how on earth could this gentle person just close the door after pushing him down the stairs? And she must have heard/ seen his fall because her stepfather did.
Has anybody an answer to this??? Please tell me.
PS: Even more confusing: THe German version solved this problem by just leaving out an entire page!
Cheers, Sino

I have read Tara Road and Scarlet Feather and loved them both especially Tara Road! I read them both over a year ago and just started Evening Class but I feel like I should re-read some books .... does anyone know the order in which I should read her books??

I have just recently started reading Maeve Binchy - and have realised that there is a thread of a series running through a number of them - which ones does this apply to and what order do they follow as I keep feeling that I would get more from them if I knew this. I have read Tara Road, Quentins and Heart & Soul.

I love Maeve Binchy. If you read in order, Evening Class, Tara Road, Scarlet Feather and Quintins, Quintins will make much more sense to you. Quintins really finishes all the stories of the other books. I loved that whole series. Ann in CO
