Yes, there are a couple of other authors as good as Alexander Kent. Try Dudley Pope's Lord Ramage series (Pope was C.S. Forester's own choice as his successor) and Dewey Lambdin's Alan Lewrie series.

Was really hoping A.Kent would continue to write about Bolitho and company...loved all the characters and want to know more about what they are up to. Well, I guess its time to re-read P.O'Brian series. Does anyone know of another author that writes as well as O'Brian or Kent...as their characters are so life-like I would recognize them if I saw them on the street...this is especially true of any of O'Brian's characters. Already read CS Forrester. sigh, its going to be a long summer...

I feel that all the books were brilliant and they keeped you glued to the paper and it was hard to let go. But perhaps the writer should have used his character's to write a few more books in the collection but all in all they were all great.
