My favorite scene from John D is in One Fearful Yellow Eye when Travis finds the horribly tortured and mutilated body of the person he figures is behind the swindle and says to him "Did you tell?"

Does this sound like a John D. story: Three thieves (a woman, her boyfriend and a safecracker) steal a safe and hide it in a steel-reinforced trailer. They park their rig in a campground and the safe expert gets to work cracking the vault open while the couple pretend to be on honeymoon. A kid on vacation with his family gets wise to the trio and things turn bad for the desperados.

In Last One Left, the money is left hidden in a rusted boiler on a deserted island and only Chrissy, the murderess, knows where it is. Will she be able to recover it when/if she gets out of jail? Very unsatisfying ending, I thought-- it seems to me that Raoul and the latina chick should get it. Fine to email me, I may not check this message board much dand@simons-rock.edu
