I am on my second read of The Pledge and have searched in vain for any other titles by Rob Kean other than two german titles which may or may not be the same author. Did he move to Germany?
Where can we find personal details about Rob Keane, such as what he does now, is he going to write more, where does he live, what other work does he do, etc.?
This guy seems like a mystery himself. Any more info on him would be appreciated.

I nearly gave up on the book ( The Pledge.....read it in two days)as it was quite boring to start with but it semed to be very interesting, so I read it cover to cover.( I must say now that I am English, we have Eton, so it most probably started here)
I am a woman whose husband says that I am an invention, neither man nor woman( compliment!!!!) plus I have more balls than most men, I do not give up, so.....I became interested in the plot.
We live in a world of wonderment, my grandfather was a Mason and a founder member of the Water Rats plus I believe a founder member of the Magic Circle in the UK ( my husbands Uncle who spent most of his life in Zimbabwe was also a Mason).....This book struck cords of truth....we all know that these things do happen, it is not what you know, it is who you know and this does work....the mind boggles, I would just love to talk to the author.

One of the best books yet. I really enjoyed it. Much better than The Appeal, which I just finished.

good question Howard-
wish i knew the answer but i honestly can say i have not read any book since "the pledge" that i have equally enjoyed.
Since Mr. Kean seems to be somewhat dormant with his 2nd novel - any suggestions of good reading for a lady in waiting?

I think Rob Kean's The Pledge was one og the best books I've read in a long time. The descriptions allowed me to be part of the story. The characters were well done. The plot was spectacular. I truly enjoyed the book, and am looking forward to others. I was disappointed to learn that there are no other books. However, I will continue to look for them in the future. Excellent reading!

Don't read this if you want to sleep. This author has left me with an unsatiable appetite for books as exciting!
In answer to Anthony-Resident - what? I say give me MORE words Mr. Kean-
Read this book-scholar or not-and join me in a patient but worthy wait for Rob Keans second masterpiece.

Rob... Your book must become a best seller! You have a wonderful way of describing places and things. I love your way of writing and I never stop reading your novel. I can believe you did it so well on your first time.
