My comment/question is the same as the last poster. I read Ms. Cornwell's book where Benton was killed, burned in an arsonist's fire, but in which of her books do we learn what really happened & how it is that he is actually alive, etc? Many thanks- currently reading Red Mist.

I read the book where Benton "died". I can't find the one where he "came back"? Please help.

I have read every single Patricia Cornwall book, including her opinion on jack the ripper. Which I disagree with. Is it just me or was scarpetta written by a ghost writer. Either she is losing her incredible way with words, or she has sold out....

After struggling through The Front, I thoroughly enjoyed Scarpetta and Scarpetta Factor. Michelle, I suggest you take a short brake and then dive back in (after a nice plate of pasta with olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, capers and calamata olives). Hopefully you can get back in the Scarpetta groove like I did. Good luck! -Kathleen

Patricia's books are fantastic and my collection is only missing a few. I read and reread all of her books regularly. It kind of makes you realize that other people have it much worse than you do. Never stop writing your fantastic stories.

I am a huge fan of Patricia Cornwell's. I have read almost every book she has out. I happened onto her books one day by complete accident and haven't been able to stop reading them. I buy all of her books when I can. Kay Scarpetta is my favorite!! Hats off to Patricia for always one-upping her last book. I am looking forward to reading the Scarpetta Factor. There are no better crime novels to read!!! Keep up the good work. Always looking forward to the next book!!!! Your #1 fan in Idaho!!!!

I am reading "The Scarpetta Factor" by Patricia Cornwell. On the opening pages is a quote by Voltaire. I related to this quote and researched its author. He died in 1778, in the book it lists his quote and the date=Voltaire, 1785. Did no one else notice this error???

After complaining about the almost unreadable The Front last October, I must rejoin (I didn't want to read any possible spoilers until I was finished with the book) the discussion now that I've finished Scarpetta- which I enjoyed immensely. What a relief! And I'm glad to see Marino back from the depths of hell!
