I love the Book Running With Scissors i can read it over and over again i admire the author for opening up and putting his life out there in extreme detail! The intensity that the book brings is amazing! i would love to meet the author in person to tell him how much his book empowered people and inspired them!

I absolutely loved this book. I chose to read it for my summer reading that was assigned over the summer. I do agree though that there is no real point and its hard to write about. I have to write a book review on it and I have absolutely no idea how. But I loved reading this book I finished it the day after I bought it.

well the book was for sure interesting problem is i have no clue what the point is (which i have to right about). Im in high school and my teacher assigned that book! shocking i would say, but anyways i have to come up with a purpose and a goodone at that since AP classes are no joke. Anyone can help me i would appreciate that greatly

Okay book.. There is no plot, no central problem, no rising point or climax.

In response to Paul's critique about this book...if you think the plot became so ridiculous that your lack of mental and emotional capability could not quite grasp it then i feel for you. Imagine living through it as the author did. To critique his memoir is to critique his life and what youre missing is the bravery and advancement it took for him to grow up as he did and still create a mature, humourous, devastating, accurate account of everything that shaped him...no matter how vulnerable it made him. You have much to learn.

This is probably one of the best books I have ever read. It contains all of the qualities a good book requires. You need to have an open-mind when reading this book. I don't understand how you cannot like it...maybe you're too uptight

This is one of the worst ever books I have read and I have read a lot of books! Plot becomes more and more ridiculous to try to hold reader's attention. Reads like a bad first (and hopefully last) novel.

A good book but almost too shocking to believe. I guess I can't seem to get that there are that many crazy people in the world. It was a good book and well written, funny in some parts but mostly sad that the boy had to live that way in a crazy house. I haven't read any other of his books--How are they?
