Rita Ciresi Message Board

Susan Raffa posts on 3/29/2005 9:12:45 AM I had read Rits Ciresi's Blue Italian and it had completely blown me away! It was laugh out loud funny and so sad and touching at the same time. As an Italian-American I just find her portrayals of Italians so interesting and comical and on the money. Last week I read Pink Slip, I could not believe that I was also rendered spellbound by this book. So well written, funny and suspenseful, I wanted Lisa and Eben to end up together with every cell in my body. I recommend Rita's books to all of my friends Italians and non-Italians alike. Rita Ciresi is an amazingly talented author!
lindy posts on 3/23/2005 7:02:47 PM Pink Slip is one of my favorite books of all time. It's about time someone was honest about things. Rita Ciresi is brilliant, and I am so happy she wrote this book! I have read it probably 20 times and it never gets dull.
Jennifer posts on 3/15/2005 2:20:11 PM I just finished reading Pink Slip--the entire book in less than 36 hours--it was great and I couldn't bear to put it down. But the last paragraph really threw me--I couldn't figure out who was talking to who? Did Eben's Father call Lisa an old lady? That is what I was taking it as? Thank you for the input.
