Tiffanie Debartolo Message Board

posts on 8/14/2006 7:48:41 PM I LOVE the morbid romanticism of the book, God-Shaped Hole. As an LA native, the commentary on materialism and phony pretention was dead on, and I related intensely to Trixie feeling like a stranger in a strange land. I thought I was the only one who had fallen in love with the tragic Holden Caufield, and this novel reinforced that true love is priceless. I also just recently picked up on the presence of Jeff Buckley in Jacob down to his last name (Grace), his novel (Hallelujah), his physical attributes, as well as his tragic ending which paralells that of the musician. From one Buckley fan to another, it's a lovely tribute.
Laurie Yates posts on 10/17/2005 10:10:50 PM Well worth the wait!!!!! I just finished and loved it....already passed it to the rest of my family! Thanks and keep on writing
Stevie posts on 10/16/2005 11:13:09 PM I used to write to Tiffanie a while ago. Her book, this book, changed my life. I can't imagine how anyone can't see all the charm, wisdom, and realness that she shares. Anyways, wasn't sure if Tiffanie comes and looks at the message board anymore and I haven't written in a while but I was listening to "Grace" and thinking about how much I wish she'd write another book. Amazing.

Laurie Yates posts on 9/12/2005 4:10:45 PM Just wanted you to know that this is one our favorite books (My husband, daughter and myself) My husband has read it twice, and every time we go to the book store we check first to see if you have written anything else, with no luck! I've bought two copies (I loaned one to a friend and she didn't return it, so I bought another). We are big fans of yours and we are waiting patiently for another book! Was this your first and only book, or are we missing others?? Thank you for your great work! Sincerely Laurie, Chris and Becky Yates
Jen posts on 8/10/2005 12:56:27 PM This was by far one of the WORST pieces of trash ever written. How did you manage to get it published? It's immature, juvenile & very poorly written. Hope this isnt your day job.
Korin Pusillo posts on 5/15/2005 3:37:13 PM I loved this book and could not put it down. I felt as if I was Beatrice and I couldn't wait to learn what would happen next in my life or how the story would end. I do wonder though, what were the three words she wrote on the cover of her journal? God Shaped Hole? Tiffanie, you inspire me to write. I can't let a thought pass without having to write it down. It is true, thoght ARE king.
