I have read the book, "Lucky," for a Criminal Justice course and I must admit that Alice Sebold is a very courageous and brave woman to have endured such a devastating experience and to have the heart and strength to inform others of her ordeal. I am sure I can speak for others by saying to Ms. Sebold, God Bless You and always remember that you are a very special woman with a heart of the purest gold to have shared YOUR story with others so they may be able to overcome their own horrific experiences. Once again, God Bless you Alice!!!

I read Sebold's "Lucky" in one sitting and was moved to sorrow. A curiosity question. Is Greg Madison the real name of the attacker?

I read your book in one day I couldnt put it down. Just want you to know I felt every punch and slap you did. See I survived mine also. Only he went free. But the whole town now knows what kind of person he is. I had to move back to Iowa. But he has to stay in that small town.

I was raped when I was 16 by someone I knew. I didn't think it affected me the way it affected other people when they were raped. After reading your book, I have realised there is a lot I have never dealt with. Thank you, Alice, for your enrelenting raw words.

Sorry if this is an intrusion, but I've noticed your name in connection with THE SECRET SOCIETY OF DEMOLITION WRITERS. Reading the Amazon details, I'm rather intrigued by it...
...particularly as, since 2001, I've been publishing a series of highly acclaimed printed anthologies called NEMONYMOUS in a similar vein.

Lucky was an amazing book that should a lot of courage in a tough situation everyone needs to learn that no matter what happens there is more likely a way that it can get better you just have to look for it

This book was heart felt and warm it was an inspiration of how a young girl picked her life back up from a tragic and overpowering event.Well done Alice Sebold!
