In the book Homecoming by Cynthia Voight what does the phrase "Pluck the Lotus" mean? The word lotus has several different meaning,I'm not sure which one best describe this word in the book?

I have been reading Homecoming since I was in grade 5. I am now in year 11, and I only just found out it was a cycle, not just the one book. I love it so much, but I cant find any of the other books in australia, so I am going to have to find it overseas

i luvvv cynthia voigt's books they're very entertaining. my fav's are Dicey's Song and a solitair blue. mainly the whole tillerman series

I read Izzy, willy-nilly, Orfe, and The Callender Papers. Orfe was really weird and I didn't really get it, but the other two were good. Her books do kinda get off to a slow start though. She is a good author.

i love Cynthia Voights books. they are very entertaining and well written.my most favorite book is A Solitary Blue.whoever doesnt like it,STOP HATING!

I am in desperate need of getting a copy of wings of a falcon. I have read this book a million times since I was younger and it is still my favorite book. I cannot for the life of me get a hold of this book again as it was lost in my moving. (not due to my neglection of course) I cannot get this book anywhere and I would really appreciate a copy. Is there anyway I can get ahold of Cynthia? does anyone have any ideas at all? It would be so appreciated to help out here as this book is a great part of my growing up and I want my daughter and future kids to have it. well thats it for me.
