I thoroughly enjoyed reading the novel, Church Folk. Most churchgoers can definately relate to much of the scandals and behind the scene politicking that goes on behind closed doors.
I would really like to see the characters come alive on the big screen. I've even envisioned actors and actresses to play the part of the main characters : Essie-Regina King, Theophilus-Morris Chestnut, Saphronia-Jasmine Guy, Glodean-Leah Rochan(?), Marcel-"Ron" from Different Strokes, and Lou Gossett, Jr. as Rev. James. I hope that this idea will spark an interest and a desire to pursue it.
