Just wanted to say to Cindy, Resident Scholar that she might want to review the book. The main character's parents were NOT Holocaust survivors, his deceased wifes parents were.

I need info or websites or analysis or book review of Pat Conroy's: The Great Santini It was an "okay" book about a military family living under their father's strict ruling.

Was there a movie made about his story of being a teacher on an island in S. Carolina and he kids called him Conrack? If so, what is name of movie?
