I had to read this book for a summer assignment in school. I have to say that this is a very well-written book and shows a lot of self-realization

does anyone have thoughts on the idea that McCullers message would be that women are bound to fail in buisiness. Would a man in her position have dealt likewise? How would the study of gender be applied to this novel. especially because Miss Amelie clearly has 'male features'? Im happy for All kind of thoughts on the subject. Thanx!
