Chris, I found your question from 2005 about wanting to know about the book "NEXT OF KIN" mentioned in David Sedaris' essay of the same name, in his collection "NAKED". Unfortunately, I have the same question, and no answer. I do find it a little bizarre that none of the downchain posters even know of what you speak. Have you learned the answer yet? I suspect Mr. Sedaris created the thing of ehole clith -- typos, in the spirit, intentional.

Hey there! Just thought I would join in on everyone's message board! I too believe this is one of the most entertaining book I have ever read(at least the chapters I have read so far). I do have a problem though. I have a book report due on it tomorrow. I have not yet finished the book, and I have to focus on the speech and language difficulties that he encountered. Let me know the correct chapters to read thoroughly...thanks everyone!

yes i read that one too, HILARIOUS!! I also have the one i think its called 'dress my family in cordorouy'. I havent read it yet, im still on 'Naked'. He is a great storyteller. Go back and read the chapter next of kin. I thought it was really funny and im intrigued to see if the book really exist and if its a bad as he says.

Does anyone know of the book David Sedaris finds in the essay Next of Kin, in the book 'Naked'?

This is the funniest books I have ever read. Had to put it down numerous times as my face hurt from laughing so much.

this book is so funny. it is funniest in the first half, then it does get a little repetitive, but it never stops entertaining me.
