Patricia Lohmeyer posts on 3/21/2010 3:07:52 AM Patricia, I just wanted to let you know that I have been reading Carley's Song. I was born in 1955 (New Jersey), but I can definitely identify with the times and antics of the 50's. I still remember the glass milk jugs, the 3-party line and the community get togethers. I remember barn dances where my grandfather (6'4") would actually lift me right off the barn floor in a flurry of excitement over the polka. My husband and I ride a Suzuki Boulevard Motorcycle. Today was such a beautiful day that we went riding. We now live in Salisbury, NC. I suggested we ride towards Statesville; whereby, we wound up on Route 90 in Loray. We rode down Little Farm Road. It was pretty much what I had expected. Did you write Carley's Song from your memories when you lived there? I have always loved writing and do write some puppet skits and Easter Pageants for several of the churches in the area; however, I am scared of tackling a novel. I just wanted to let you know how much I admire your work and the tenacity to keep on clicking those typewriter keys. Thank you for your heartfelt stories and their memories. Pat Lohmeyer
