"Bermuda Grass," is the first book I have read by the author Keith Miles, and I must say that the plot is very interesting and captivating, (only the plot). The only downfall to this particular novel is that Keith Miles makes the residents of Bermuda sound like ignorant, uneducated people as the main character Alan Saxon interacts with them throughout the book. As a fellow Bermudian I know that the dialogue and language of Bermudians do not sound the way he portrays it. Which makes me question whether or not Mr Keith Miles has actually had a conversation with the residents of Bermuda because the dialogue sounds more like what people will hear from old southern America who had just become emancipated and finally able to understand the english language. As a credible historian, Keith Miles, should have did better research on the inhabitants of the island while he was writing this novel. Due to this fallacy, "Bermuda Grass" fails to completely captivate and emerge the reader into this world that Keith Miles had created.
